You SHOULD smile more... but for YOU and not for the person telling you that you don't smile enough. We all know that asshole who constantly nags people about smiling! "Why yes Carlos, I often sit and smile at the wall!"

First things first... I really don't think you should be carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, as a matter of fact I don't think you should carry any weight on your shoulders, it's bad for your back!

Second... I am going to tell you a quick bit about who I am and why I thought this blog was necessary for me; and quite honestly, for all of you that are out there that may have the same day-to-day feelings (maybe some struggles) that I have.

So who am I? That's me over there to the right and my name is Ashley. I'm from a small town in southern Minnesota, most of the time, I even fall into that "Minnesota Nice" bucket! I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and employee (I am sure there are more things that I am, but I will stick to the positive ones). But mostly, I am human and can relate to almost all of you in one way or another.

Enough about me and more about why the eff I am writing a blog!

Every single one of our lives are filled to the top with dreams, goals, plans, schedules, expectations, whatever... but I want you to really stop and think about those things and ask yourself, "Are these my plans or are these plans that have been given to me by someone who thinks 'this' is what I should be working on?" Now don't get me wrong, you may have plans for yourself, but you also have to take into consideration your goals that you have put into place with your partner, family, job, etc. that are absolutely important to the success of those relationships. What I am talking about are the things that truly make you feel whole on the inside, things you want to do but haven't because someone else has interjected their plans for what you should be doing with your time, money, hair, clothes, car, career, college... WHATEVER it is... I am willing to bet that all of you have felt that someone else has had different plans for you at some point in your life and thought that you should be doing something different with something in your life. I am going to tell you RIGHT NOW to push everyone else's shit off of your shoulders and start focusing on what makes YOU feel fulfilled and what is necessary for YOU to do in YOUR life so that when you look back in a year from now, or even a month from now, you have been able to be the best you, that you can be in this moment. So, go on and brush your shoulders off!

Are you following me? And I don't mean on social media... even though you can follow my Insta by clicking here. If you're not picking up what I'm putting down, basically I am telling you that it is OK that we have had ENOUGH of people's super elaborate plans for OUR lives! In the same breath... I am going to share my story, maybe offer advice, and have a whole lot of fun sharing things that I know and love!

***WARNING*** I will be all over the board with my content! You will see posts about life, parenting, co-parenting, loss, work-life, make-up, trying to make my skin resemble a baby's butt, sweet deals I find online, clothes, bad advice I've gotten and some really good advice I've gotten, honestly... this list is endless... SO JOIN ME! Subscribe to my chaos, reach out to me if you have suggestions on what you would like to hear, if you have questions on something I've posted or even ask me for advice!
